All Things for Good | Creativity Character Time Activity
Creativity is: “Finding different ways to see and solve challenges.” This means looking at things in a new way and finding new ways to solve problems.
Supplies Needed:
2 pieces of paper
Markers, crayons, or colored pencils
A bandana or other blindfold
Tell your child that they can draw a picture of anything they want, but while they are doing it, they must be blindfolded. Once they have finished drawing the picture blindfolded, they can draw the picture again while being able to see. Then, have them compare the two pictures and ask them which one was easier to draw.
Talk About It: While we might not understand what God is doing, He is in control and is working all things for good. He can see the whole picture and knows what He is doing, similar to the picture you made while you could see. On the other hand, we don’t know everything, and sometimes the plans we try to make are like the drawing you made while blindfolded. We can’t see the big picture and don’t always know what is best. You can remember that even if you can’t see or understand what God is doing, He is still in control and is creatively working things for good.
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28
